I realise I’m treading on thin ice here, but it’s my website, therefore my right to say what I wish.. I hope not to offend too many of my readers!
I totally understand how the logic runs in the Western Medical paradigm for the “Double Mastectomy as a precaution”. It states – “You have no control over your genetic make-up, faulty genes like BRCA dramatically increase your chances of Breast and Ovarian Cancer. If you have any Cancer history in your family, you’d be better off having both breasts removed” The beautiful Angelina Jolie was the latest high profile celebrity who submitted herself to this dramatic surgery.
In Qigong however we have always believed that we are the creators of our own destiny, and that with training you can regain control of the factory that is poisoning your system. When you get back in control, then anything in your body can be changed.
I have always wondered at the fantastic sums that have been spent on mapping of the genome. It seems to me rather a waste of cash.
Ok, I see that that’s rather a strong and unkind dismissal of millions of experts work! I realise that there are some astonishing advances being made through this research work. My over-arching feeling is that whilst it’s very interesting in general, it’s a little like stumbling upon the Lighting box behind stage in a theatre. It’s clear that all the on/off switches for the lights are here, all the stage lights are on or off, but who set them this way? Who’s the lighting manager? Where the devil is he anyway?
I’m impressed that somebody has bothered to say, “Well, this switch is connected to that light” etc, but we are still drilling too deep, and slightly missing the picture I feel.
We now discover that “faulty genes can be ‘overwritten’ by diet and environmental changes, through a study from the Institute for Medical Research in Belgrade, Serbia. They say that Genetics is ‘trumped’ by epigenetics, which involves outside influences that can rewrite DNA coding.
Dr Dean Ornish conducted a preliminary study in 2008 entitled “Changes in prostate gene expression in men undergoing an intensive nutrition and lifestyle intervention” and found that – “Gene expression profiles were obtained from 30 participants, pairing RNA samples from control prostate needle biopsy taken before intervention to RNA from the same patient’s 3-month post intervention biopsy. Quantitative real-time PCR was used to validate array observations for selected transcripts. Two-class paired analysis of global gene expression using significance analysis of microarrays detected 48 up-regulated and 453 down-regulated transcripts after the intervention.”
That’s over 500 genes changed by external factors.
People at the Medicine-less hospital proved that it was possible using Qigong to completely change the outcome of Cancer, every day, and in their thousands.
I think it’s time to start thinking in terms of spending billions of dollars on Qigong research..
